Temple's Initiatives to Prevent Sexual Misconduct

Presidential Committee on Campus Sexual Misconduct

Temple University President Neil D. Theobald in fall 2014 appointed the Presidential Committee on Campus Sexual Misconduct to ensure that Temple has in place highly effective procedures for handling complaints of sexual violence and related offenses.

In appointing the committee, composed of faculty, staff and student leaders, Temple proactively addressed one of the most significant issues facing colleges and universities.

In August 2015, President Theobald announced that the committee had successfully completed its tasks and presented its comprehensive report to him. In turn, the President reviewed the committee’s work, and his office is leading a phased implementation of its recommendations as warranted.
